We have answers and options to relieve pain from Herniated Discs, Disc Bulges, Spinal Stenosis, Sciatica, Pinched Nerve, Annular Disc Tear, Degenerative Disc disease, Spondylosis/Spine Arthritis, Radiculopathy, Bone Spurs/Osteophytes and Facet Joint Syndrome? Whether diagnostic pain procedures are the best option, a non-surgical pain treatment or regenerative medicine, we are confident you are in the right place and we will take great care of you!

Could this be your answer to relieve pain from:

• Herniated discs
• Disc bulges
• Inflamed facet joints
• Stenosis
• Degenerative Disc Disease
• Arthritis

Our Surgeons and Pain Specialists specialize in determining and treating the root cause of pain with Diagnostic Pain Procedures and Nerve Ablations. It’s safe and effective.
A diagnostic pain injection is also referred to as a Medial Nerve Branch Block. In our practice, the first step in treating chronic spine pain is to make an accurate diagnosis, which starts by listening to the patient. Our Pain Specialists will review your medical history, perform a physical examination, and evaluate imaging studies before recommending treatments or performing procedures.
MRI, CT, or other imaging studies in most cases help to make a diagnosis. While the results can provide important information, they do not always explain causes of chronic pain. Many people with abnormalities showing in their imaging studies such as degenerative disc disease, arthritis, stenosis, disc bulges and herniated discs, do not have any pain, some people with normal imaging studies have severe pain. The medical history and physical examination are crucial to help us decide whether what we see on radiology studies is causing pain.
When the diagnosis is not clear, diagnostic injections may be useful. They are also called Medial Nerve Branch Blocks. This safe 15-minute procedure involves placing numbing medication into a part of the spine that appears to be the root cause of pain and observing the effect on your symptoms. If a structure in your back is very tender when we inject it, or if pain subsides after a structure is numbed up, that may be the cause of your pain.

Congrats to another raving fan of Dr. Timothy Luke and the team at Minimally Invasive Spine AZ! The patient had an out-patient, decompression surgery of his lumbar spine at L3/L4! He is standing tall and feeling great again. “When I came to here my pain level was through the roof. And after the surgery the pain was small the first two weeks, but now I am getting stronger and my mobility has totally improved. Today I am in NO pain! I have my life back thanks to Dr. Timothy Luke.”
We love seeing our patients get back to living a life they love after a minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Luke performed an L4-L5 decompression surgery to alleviate back and leg pain. Carlos wrote, "Before my laminectomy with Dr. Luke I had been in terrible pain for 4 years. I tried everything from physical therapy to shots with little results. The pain kept me from enjoying the outdoors and working out. After the procedure I was hiking within a week. I’m in considerably less pain and I can once again be active. Thank you so much."
"As a medical doctor i recognize an excellent physician when I find a good balance of knowledge, skill, caring, compassion and understanding. I would only allow a physician with those qualities to perform my required invasive procedures. Without question, Dr. Nasser possess this balance. From the time of the first interview, until completion of my last surgery, Dr. Nasser and all this staff have gone great lengths to assure my successful recovery with the utmost professionalism, skill, knowledge, understanding, caring and compassion. Thanks again for being there."
I am very grateful that I took a chance on AZPTc. Dr. Nasser is the BEST! I've been having back pain for at least a decade but the last two years have been extremely bad. My really bad days were a 10 out of 10. After meeting Dr. Nasser for the first time and having him look at my MRI he immediately came up with a plan of attack to help me get my life back. Four weeks after having a Radio Frequency Ablation I have ZERO PAIN. I mean ZERO. In fact, immediately after my procedure I was pain free. I’m back to working out and doing the activities that I enjoy doing and not having to worry about how my back is going to feel the next day. I would recommend AZPTC to anyone especially Dr. Nasser but everyone in the office is really nice and professional. Many Thanks to Dr. Nasser and the whole AZPTC team. For people out there who think there is no hope and your just going to have to live with your pain please give AZPTC a chance.
