How We Can Help

Our Pain Specialists specialize in treating the root cause of certain types of pain with Nerve Ablations.

A nerve ablation is also referred to as a Radiofrequency nerve ablation (RFA) or radiofrequency neurotomy (RFN). This safe and effective treatment uses a specialized radiofrequency device to deliver heat along the painful nerve and disrupt nerve conduction on a semi-permanent basis.

Simply put, the procedure blocks off the ability of the nerve to send a pain signal to the brain, like turning the lights off. With a short recovery time and high success rate, this treatment is highly recommended by our pain specialists.

Our out-patient procedure is minimally invasive and the nerves are usually blocked for an average of 8-12 months. This nerve ablation pain relief technique is successfully used for those with back pain, neck pain, muscle pain, or pain caused by sciatic nerve pain, pinched nerve, nerve damage, sciatic nerve, diabetic nerve pain, nerve block, nerve stimulation or other discomforts.

Experiencing neck pain can mean an issue with tendons, muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues located in that area. Highly sensitive nerves, small joints, or spinal discs could also be the cause of the pain you are suffering. Neck and arm, including shoulder pain, is extremely common and the pain can vary in its severity.

There are many causes of neck pain including every day wear and tear, sports injuries, auto accidents, poor posture and repetitive motions. To help understand pain and how it is generated, the types of neck pain are classified into two categories, axial neck pain and cervical radiculopathy (pain referred from the neck down the arm). It is common for patients to have both axial neck pain and cervical radiculopathy.
