Disc Replacement Surgery

This could be your answer to relieve pain from herniated discs, disc bulges, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, a cervical radiculopathy, or spondylosis/spondylolisthesis. An artificial disc replacement, also called a cervical disc arthroplasty, is an artificial or synthetic disc that replaces the damaged disc and allows for a full range of motion, allowing the spinal segment to remain mobile.

This procedure is performed to avoid a spinal fusion and keep the range of motion of the spine intact. Our Surgeons and Pain Specialists deem this procedure a success for many of our athletes and patients with active lifestyles who want to return to doing what they love.

It is a great alternative to a spinal fusion and has a significantly shorter recovery time for most of our patients. The disc replacement surgery is outpatient and allows you to go home the same day and return to normal daily activities in a short amount of time.

The Advantages
